Paris in San Francisco

Wandering around Hayes Valley today, I found myself in one of my favorite shops and the most beautiful one , Clare V.

Clare used to work as a journalist for the french TV when she realized it’s hard to find a laptop case that is both stylish and functional, this is how she started her brand in 2008 in Los Angels.

Since I moved to California I became even more into muted colors than before and when I entered Clare V shop I felt like she really understood me.

She just has her own perfect balance with her palate, She knows how to put the colors perfectly one next to each other. In a creative and playful way - wallets, flowers, books, scarves and bags are combined together in her shop. A touch of bold color here and there, in a minimalistic kind of way and french stripes… my love for many years. The space is very nicely lit, light pink floor (made me think about marshmallow) and a magical inner garden just like in Paris…

It makes me think about the time I used to live in Paris, living on my own, in a beautiful small Parisian apartment, working in the design studio at Lancel, a classic french leather goods brand.

I used to work during the week days and on the weekends tour Paris, walking for hours, getting lost in the small and beautiful little streets, going to art shows and finding the best pastries in the city.

Between the shelves of Clare’s beautiful bags I found illustrations by artist Iris de Mouy,

Make sure to check out her cool website, I LOVED it!

A Parisian writer and illustrator based in Saint German, Paris. I love her clean and black lines, her touch of childhood, feels like she just drew it on the spot for you with her brush. She collaborated with Clare so you can find beautiful accessories with her illustrations on it, I already put it on my birthday wish list!!

Thank you Clare for letting me feel in Paris for a few moments, I guess from here I have no choice, but to finish my day with a delicious macaron at Chantal guillon

Have an inspiring weekend!

Love Inbal
